X RAY RIGHT LEG (FULL LENGTH) AP AND LATERAL VIEW

AP (anteroposterior) view means the X‑ray beam passes from the front (anterior) to the back (posterior) of the body; it’s often used when patients can’t stand and can slightly magnify structures. Lateral view is taken with the beam passing from one side to the other, producing a side‑profile image that helps localize lesions and separate overlapping anatomy for clearer depth assessment.

An AP and lateral (two‑view) knee X‑ray commonly costs: India ₹200–2,000 depending on centre; United States $50–300 (higher in hospitals); United Kingdom free under NHS or about £40–£150 privately. Prices vary with facility, location, imaging package and whether radiologist report or emergency fees apply. Always check the specific clinic for exact charges.

The lateral leg X‑ray is taken with the patient lying on the affected side so the injured leg is closest to the image receptor. The knee is flexed about 45° to superimpose femoral condyles and the foot kept neutral. The central ray is aimed at the mid‑shaft to include both knee and ankle joints. Immobilize, keep still and use markers and shielding.

Knee AP and lateral are standard X‑ray views used to evaluate the knee. AP (anteroposterior) is a front‑to‑back view that shows bone alignment, joint spaces, arthritis, and obvious fractures—often weight‑bearing.
